Quicksilver will be providing a short-term ferry transfer service between Port Douglas and Cairns, commencing Thursday 21 December.
“With the main highway between Port Douglas and Cairns presently closed in some parts, Quicksilver has received many enquiries regarding a vessel transfer service between Port Douglas and Cairns. After assessing our Port Douglas crew availability as well as our vessels, we’re pleased to be able to provide this service utilising our dive boats Silversonic and Poseidon,” said Tony Baker, Quicksilver Group Managing Director.
Departing Port Douglas Crystalbrook Marina and arriving at the Marlin Wharf, Berth 1 (Reef Fleet Terminal Cairns) transfers will take approximately two hours each way.
Transfers for the following days’ operations are:
Thursday 21 December
Silversonic: Departs Port Douglas at 8:00am, Departs Cairns at 2:30pm.
Passenger capacity 100.
Friday 22 December
Silversonic: Departs Port Douglas at 8:00am, Departs Cairns at 2:30pm.
Passenger capacity 100.
Saturday 23 December
Poseidon: Departs Port Douglas at 8:00am, Departs Cairns at 2:30pm.
Passenger capacity 85.
Sunday 24 December
Silversonic: Departs Port Douglas at 8:00am, Departs Cairns at 2:30pm.
Passenger capacity 100.
Not operating on Christmas Day.
Cost is $50 per person one way, children under 3 years travel free.
