On michaelmas Cay
Book your Great Barrier Reef day trip from Cairns aboard Ocean Spirit, a 32-metre sailing catamaran offering a full-day tour to Michaelmas Cay with a scenic 2-hour sail each way, combining motor and sailing, depending on the day's conditions. Spend four hours at this protected outer reef location enjoying snorkelling in calm, shallow waters, semi-submarine or glass bottom boat tours, informative marine biologist and fish feeding presentations, and birdwatching at one of the Southern Hemisphere’s most important seabird sanctuaries.
There’s exciting options to enjoy too - introductory scuba diving and marine biologist guided snorkel tours. Michaelmas Cay is ideal for families with children and first-time divers, offering safe shallow waters and fully supervised dive instruction with no experience necessary. Throughout the day, the “beach buggy shuttle” transfers guests between Ocean Spirit and the beach, giving you plenty of time to explore all included activities and relax on this stunning coral cay.
Activities commence: Fish feeding, Snorkelling, Semi-Sub/Glass Bottom Boat, Scuba diving for intro divers.
